The SDIT Library, a treasure house of information is the nerve centre of intellectual activity of any Institution. Our library and Information centre is located in an Independent spacious and well lighted building catering to the needs of students and staff members.   The primary aim of the library is to fulfill the mission of the Institution by supporting Educational, research program of the Institution. At present the library has a well defined collection of more than 25,944 Volumes of Text Books with 4,955 Titles, 6801 Book Bank Books, and 1213 project Reports and ST/SC Books facility available.  It has  a comprehensive collection of literature predominantly related to Engineering, Management and its allied subjects to meet the needs of the Users. The Library subscribed numerous Printed National and International journals on Technical and Management Subjects; along with it had been consist of numerous magazines and news papers at present.             To promote the use of e-resources for students and faculties, our college had been subscribed Technical and Management electronic e-resource databases under VTU Consortium.   Library was subscribed following the e-resources/online databases: Elsevier –Science Direct IEEE Proceedings Springer Nature Taylor and Francis Emerald- Management ProQuest Emerald Case Studies Mint Books MAPMyAccess - Remote Access Solution Turnitin – Plagiarism Originality Online Check NetAnalytiks Lanquil – Writing + Grammar + Learning Tool   Other Online Resources : NDL - National Digital Library DELNET - Inter Library Loan facility. The Library follows an open access system, Books are classified according to the Dewey Decimal classification and Library has been fully computerized and Bar coded   to using the Easylib Software. There is photocopying facility and a Book Bank facility for needy students to borrow books for the entire semester. Departmental Libraries are also setup by all departments.
