BMSCA D&P Library and Information Centre has a good collection of Books, Journals, Magazines, Thesis, Project Reports, CDs, E-resources, Govt. Documents (Bangalore Master Plan Documents, Handbooks, etc.). It has been designed to meet the information needs of the B.Arch, M.Arch, Research Scholars, Faculty, and Staff members of BMSCA. It also has an exclusive digital reference section.
The entire collection has been bar-coded and fully automated by using the RFID and Integrated with Koha Library Management Software. The Library offers many services to our patrons like online book renewal and reservation system, Online Public Access Catalogue, Online Purchase Suggestion, Database Orientation, Patron Management, Book Bank Facility, Special encouragement for top 3 students, News Paper Clipping, and Selective Dissemination of Information, etc.
Also installed IR software using DSPACE, IR is the Digital Repository that showcases the research publications of Faculty Members, Students, and Staff of BMS College of Architecture. Preprints, Reprints of Research Papers, Conference Papers, Technical Reports, Books, Chapter/s in Books, Popular Articles, Theses and Dissertations, Student's Project Reports, Lecture Notes, Audio-Video Materials, and other intellectual output of the Faculty Members are kept. Architectural and Design Portfolios, Product Designs, Models, Paintings, Art, and Artifacts in digital format are also kept.
