Central Library: Your Gateway to Knowledge, Innovation & Success The Central Library of BLDEA’s V. P. Dr. P. G. Halakatti College of Engineering and Technology, Vijayapur, serves as a dynamic gateway to knowledge, learning, research and innovation. It provides access to current and relevant information in Engineering, Science, Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences and plays an integral role in supporting the teaching, learning, and research and outreach activities of the institution. With a strong focus on user needs, the Library continuously develops and delivers innovative, technology-enabled and need-based information services that support students, faculty members and research scholars. The Library has developed a comprehensive collection to meet the diverse academic and research requirements of the campus community. It provides access to more than 93,000 books covering over 24,475 titles, along with more than 85,000 electronic books and journals. The Library also provides access to a core collection of over 7,120 e-journals, e-databases, e-books and other electronic resources to support academic learning and research. In addition, users can access journals through the VTU Consortium, as well as through journals subscribed to directly by publishers and reputable subscription agencies. The Library subscribes to more than 75 print technical journals covering a wide range of subjects in Science and Engineering. A dedicated collection of books is also available for competitive examinations such as Civil Services, GATE, GRE and TOEFL, along with resources on personality development and biographies.
